At MF Camera we offer the option to sell your camera equipment through our consignment program, allowing you to get the biggest return on your old or unused equipment. We specilize in most cameras, lenses, and photography related equipment valued at approximately $500 or more. Please call or email prior to shipping any consignment items to us, as this will help to avoid any delays in the processing of the equipment. If you have not consigned with us before, we suggest that you first contact us so that we can answer any questions you may have.
How it works:
After your items have been received, our trained and knowledgeable staff will inspect and appraise the equipment, and a spreadsheet will be emailed to you which includes our recommended listing prices for each item. If you decide the prices are acceptable, we will begin to list the items for sale on our website. If you do not approve, you can request we adjust the pricing to whatever you feel most comfortable with, or you can request that we return the items back to you.
Consignment Fees (Updated October 1, 2023):
- FLAT 25% for items over $500 in value (You receive 75% of the selling value)
- FLAT 50% for items under $500 in value (You receive 50% of the selling value)
For example: if a lens sells for $1000.00, you will receive $750.00 from the sale. No hidden fees like with some online sellers. As your items sell they will be marked accordingly on the consignment spreadsheet and payment will be scheduled. Payments are sent out bi-monthly around the 1st and 15th of each month (pending clearance of funds which is estimated at 10-14 business days from the time an item sells). A check will be mailed along with a printed copy of the up-to-date consignment spreadsheet, but we also offer the option for payments to be sent via PayPal or Zelle.
